The NMS Foundation is a non profit corporation. It is run by an independent Board of Directors which is made up of parent volunteers. There will be up to 4 Members at Large from the business community and 1 teacher representative from each grade level.
Northwestern Middle School is located in Milton, GA and feeds into Milton High School and Bethany Bend High School. As a result of all the budget cuts passed down to the schools, the NMS Foundation was established in January 2009 as another vehicle to raise money for NMS. It is the Foundation's goal to be able to financially assist NMS for various projects. The administration will be able to request a grant from the Foundation for technology, curriculum enhancements and capital improvements. It is our hope with the strong support from our parents and local corporations that we will be able to fulfill their requests. NMS PTA and NMS Foundation work in alliance to benefit the students, staff and parents of Northwestern.
